I'm rather envious of the Monkey prize!
I loved Monkey...it was great getting into school on a Monday morning to discuss what had happened on Friday night's episode with the only other viewer in my class, Nicholas - he now makes prosthetic limbs.

Ahh...those were the days, I think I was nine.

Best TV show of my childhood by a country mile
I was allowed to eat supper on my own in the sitting room in front of the TV when Monkey was on - the one and only programme where this was allowed. My parents understood my love of the show and thus granted me a special dispensation.

I played the theme tune in a trendy Shoreditch bar only last Friday and practially the entire place sang along.

Which was nice.
