Warton Stock Car Club
They have a race meeting (bangers, stocks, minis, superbangers etc) usually once every three weeks or so, but the caravan race is a once a year special. Full contact racing is the best sport I know :)

Racing starts at noon
but it's best to get there at least half an hour before so you can get a good pitch. A chair to sit on, food and warm drinks, warm clothing and footwear, waterproofs, sunglasses and suntan lotion are all vital.

it IS exciting!
I love it when I'm making my way up the track and start to hear the engines throbbing and screaming in the distance and the commentator droning away, and then you can smell the petrol and burning rubber... A lot of the cars use V8s, there are some Suburu engines, one or two bike engines in the stock cars, so the noise of them all tuning up in the pits is like a big powerful mechanical symphony. Love it!
