I don't know much about history
Has Wales ever been sufficiently independent of England to have a king of its own? I'm guessing it must have done at some time in the distant past.

my ex (welsh) used to mention how us English killed their royal family. They deserved it if you ask me.

I always feel a bit sorry for Wales
lumped in with England as it is.

It's treated just like a county rather than a nation of its own, even with its assembly. At least in Scotland we have some sort of government (albeit of questionable efficacy) and more of a national identity. That said, I really don't want to go independent. That would just be silly. It's bad enough that STV don't show half of ITV's output anymore...
