Fucccccccccck!!!!
After everything, I'm $1,000 short on my down payment/closing costs!
Do I;

A) Borrow a grand off the boyfriend
B) Whore myself out on the streets for a month
C) Ask the boss for a loan
D) Ask the ex to front it as he fucking owes me big style
E) Forget about it and hope I can find something else that's (literally) $2,000 cheaper?

Somehow I don't think D is a good option.
He could hold that over you until Kingdom come should he choose to do so.

I think either A or C would be best. A lot of bosses are quite reasonable about loans etc.

Yeah, that's kinda my thinking.
If I close escrow by December 1st, I get $8K back on my tax return next year.......I know the boyf can do it and can wait for the money, as can the boss, but I just have never really had to ask for a loan before, especially when I can't pay it back until 5-6 months later.
I also have to continue paying for my apartment until December 20th or face a $7k penaly!

Well I'd probably end up talking to the boss really.
You seem like a fairly independant person, and your boss knows you're a good worker - who'll be able to pay him back in kind.
But probably easier to talk to both your boyfriend and your boss. Just work out what feels right to you.

Aye.
Just a little stressed as I'm *this* close to being accepted on the counter-offer and I fricking want this place!

fair enough
I can understand the stress.

I haven't had a very good day either but for totally different reasons.

If you're trying B
then you should make $1000 in a lot less than a month.

Disclaimer - the above is based purely on conjecture as I don't actually know what the going rate for a bought shag is, but even one $50 client a night for three weeks would be enough, and I'd imagine that would be an easy shift for a pro

you liar
I've seen you out on the mean streets of Leith, waiting for passing cars...

If you don't like borrowing money from people
and I don't either then ask your boss for an "advance" rather than a loan. It's a technicality but it always makes me feel less shit as it's like future Badger's money. And I know she won't mind lending past badger money.

Yeah. Badger logic

I would probably ask a financial adviser what to do.
People on the internet who you've never met - a sure fire way to get the wrong advice.
