I..Host my own websites and stuff. It proved to be extraordinarily useful. I love having it, but now I've moved all of my stuff to datacenters so i have no need for it :P
PS I'm a geek ;)

My personal sites, mainly..And a few other select people.
www.thewallapp.com is the main one right now, its still under development though.
I also host my own SAN (RAID5 volume basically). Backup service and a few other bits and bobs. Its just to prevent me paying billions on hosting at a datacenter.
