that's interesting. I was thinking of a Toyota as they're dead reliable. How are Seats for reliability?

because they are essentially VWs. The FR ones are pretty quick too.

That's the thing with Skodas and Seats these days, you're basically buying a VW without the badge and added cost. The build quality is very high! :)

the electrics can be slightly temperamental in my Seat, but they haven't been for a while, and it has been knocked about a bit.
it's got a fucking huge boot as well. last weekend I had 2 guitars in hardcases, 2 guitars in softcases, an electric bass, my amp, a 4 man tent, a snare drum, two bags of leads and a case full of cymbals in there.

Even in my Ibiza I managed to get a hell of a lot of stuff in the back. The biggest thing was probably a german shepherd!! Haha

which is absurd in comparison to the size of the boot. stupid saloon cars.
I'm going to get a van when this one dies. and some kind of convertible sports car.

A van would be a very good idea if you're lugging around band equipment!!
I have to say I've never been that bothered about convertibles, theres never enough sodding sun in this country to make it worthwhile. :(

my drummer has one, and so does my bro's gf. my view is: not raining = top down
the van is more for sleeping in as we go camping a lot. I plan to build a bedframe in it, and put in a stupidly expensive mattress like the one in my bedroom

Have you seen these...

They look so fun, I really want one! :)

I thought some guy had done it himself!
I'm going to get a standard VW transporter and stick in what I want. I don't need a cooker or any of that bollocks

Ah doing it the proper way with a real VW would be cool. I really got excited a few years ago when they brought out a new concept camper van, but it never turned into anything, I was gutted as it looked a-mazing!

the dad of my brother's mate designed and makes the moulded interiors for them, and the seats that turn into beds and stuff.
( , Tue 8 Sep 2009, 16:52, Reply)

we need a new one and I want a really solid one.
( , Tue 8 Sep 2009, 16:47, Reply)

it's got twice as many springs as a normal mattress and a layer of memory foam.
I've had it for about 3 years, and this is no word of a lie, almost every night we get into it and go "man, this bed is so comfortable"

I'm sure you've still got that "spark" in your relationship.

because you don't think the right man for you is out there.

but they charge a lot more because of the reliability! Seats are super. I never had a problem with mine and my sister has had three and they've all lasted very well and she drives like a mental person.
