Always
I would be sad and broken if I didn't have music:

Calming down/monging out: Air, Mogwai, Morcheeba and Zero7
Angry: Rammstein, NIN, System of a Down
Need cheering up: 80s/90s cheese, ridiculous pop and things that make me dance. I have a 'tunes that make me happy' playlist and just whack that on in times of need (Queen, ELO, Mika, The Strokes, Feeder...etc)

Ahhh
Queen is perfect for cheering up music! :D

.
One friend person I know hates Queen. With a passion.

To the point where we were in a lock in, and Bohemian Rhapsody came on the jukebox, and he wanted to go outside. Obviously they can't let him back in again, so he ruined his night because he thinks they're shit.

What a tosser.

That's
a slightly extreme reaction... he sounds like a bit of a nutter!

Hmm
Nutter Tosser.

Spikeypickle can back me up on the fact he's a bit weird!

Yers
There's no better cure for having a face like a bulldog chewing a pisscovered nettle than turning 'Killer Queen' up to 11. Or playing air piano to Bohemian Rhapsody. Or moshing to Don't Stop Me Now.
and so on, etc, ad infinitum...

No
Don't Stop me Now is the aural eqivalent of getting perved by a PE teacher. It's hell.

Damn straight
I made the DJ play it at the wedding and everyone appeared to jump around! :D

Wasn't that when they played Jump Around?

Awwww
Nooooooo he didn't have it! He also didn't have The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats, can you believe it! Its a classic!! Mwahahaha
(, Wed 16 Sep 2009, 11:40, Reply)
And if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine!
Did you have a 'first dance' song?
If I were ever to get married I'd have Willy Nelson doing Bring Me Sunshine.

Exactamundo! Its a great song!!
We did have a first dance song, it was Fall at Your Feet by Crowded House. Our actual song is Everlong by The Foos, its not a very easy song to slow dance to and after months of getting stressed about the right song we eventually decided on Crowded House as we both like them. Its amazing how many songs you think are perfect until you listen to the lyrics and they're about death or breakups! :(

Two examples
Of songs that sounds happier than they really are.

Beer - Reel Big Fish
You Can Call Me Al - Paul Simon
