a sprinkling on the top is all that is required. the intermediate layers of white sauce should be cheese free

and mustard are both excellent tips which I will be utilising in my next lasagne.
my gf is a traditionalist though, and dislikes my experimental lasagnes with their layers of roast butternut squash, and the meat sauce made with actual steak

I'm not really allowed to alter mine too much now, DiT is happy with it the way it is, I have perfected it now and it'll stay that way! :)
