okay, so accidentally dropping about half a cup of boiling water all over my hand was not the brightest thing I could have done,
Especially since I've managed to burn my fingers and hands quite successfully. And it hurts. A lot. And I have work tonight. That's going to be interesting.

Apparently I can't even make a cup of tea without injuring myself. What things did you think you were mostly competant at doing, only to be painfully proven wrong??

I thought I could tie a good knot
I thought my I could tie it securely, so nothing could escape from it. Turns out I was was wrong - it was worked loose, as I found out when a picture fell on my head half an hour a go. Didn't wake the boys up though, bless them. Hang on - I'm supposed to be demanding sympathy, right?

Edit: also painfully discovered yesterday why it's not a good idea to wear coloured thongs under white trousers, as boy #2 will spot them and pull.

how the hell did a picture fall on your head?
and yes - boys will do that given the opportunity :P

When I was doing the bedroom
I decided to be all rustic and instead of using proper picture wire and hangings, I used thick brown string, nails and my own cackhanded knots. One of which came undone last night, right where it's hanging over the head of the bed. No idea what could have loosened it...

perhaps the weight of the picture itself could have loosened it.
is your noggin allright?

Bit bruised
Groggy, but that's more tired than anything. Letting a hot flannel and some tea soothe me and wake me up, plus I'll get back in to be bed and demand sympathy from the boys in a few minutes.

Feel rather rude for not asking, hows your hand now? I hope that at least the sting has gone - burns are the worst of the lot! A mighty pain releiving hug is being mentally sent your way, with flowers with genetically modified anaesthetic pollen. (and this is where you tell me you suffer from hayfever)

ahaha depends on the flowers.
make the boys cook you breakfast.
and my hand is allright - not great but not hospital requiring. it's bandaged thoroughly though, and still stings a lot. hard to type fast with my middle two fingers taped together!

I forgot that rubber gloves make for poor insulators
and burned my hands on a oil bath set to 80oC

Thought I could walk down the stairs without problems in my new place
I moved in on Wednesday, and I've already fallen down them twice. The worrying thing is, they're normal sized stairs, not tiny ones, so I have no excuse.

I swear I'm not a spakker, honest!
