There was a group of chinese people sitting down to eat when we went in to book at 6.30, they were on course number 7 by the time we left at 11!

The owner is a really nice chap, and often just makes stuff not on the menu for you if you ask.

We had a beijin set meal, the starters and duck were standard good nom but the prawns were just fantastic, the chicken was hot hot and the veg yummmmy

it is
a wonderful little place, and off the beaten track too but they really take their time and are not in a hurry to get you in and out so its a good place for a long slow nom

i've gotta say that i hate being rushed when i'm out for a meal.
it's about so much more than just eating the food.

going on a mushroom hunt this afternoon, on the lookout for ceps and chanterelles. last year was a bit rubbish cos of the weather, hopefully this years bounty will be better...
