I'm eating croissants and drinking red at the same time. When did you last see a cliche come to life

"Good Lord! A living cliche."

Very, very tired - been up since 6 this morning.
Yourself?

The boss is offering overtime at the moment, but I value my sanity more than my bank balance.

I'd love to be having a long day of hard work, but the wankstains that I worked for made me redundant!
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:35, Reply)

And in need of some good cheer. But other than that every thing is OK.
How's things in 69land, and how's the bike?

it's on the video that comes as part of the presentation that I had already seen a few times, and after today I know it word for word... even the bits in Dutch.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:30, Reply)

I managed to do the unheard of and overlaid this morning, Called work and said I'd be in when I'm in and managed to have the most supremely productive day at the coalface.
An evening of a few beers, pizza and the new Stargate .... Is good.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:31, Reply)

I'm fed up and in need of some cheering up. So how would you cheer me?
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:31, Reply)

Can I upset you all by revealing that I'm off work until next Tuesday, and that the weather forecast for the next three days is quite splendid.
Hahahahahaha.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:51, Reply)

holidays are over-rated in my opinion. this is an opinion based on facts and not jealousy i hope you understand.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:56, Reply)

For the next month anyway.
Yes, holidays are shite.
I'll be out with the dogs in the autumn sun tomorrow (I'm thinking Eccup Reservoir and Harewood House - 9 miles) and might stop for a pint and a bite to eat on the way home.
All the time I'll be thinking how shite holidays are and how grim my life is.

Not in a dismissive way, but in a "there's only so much music you can listen to" way.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:24, Reply)

we swap 1GB usb sticks full of whatever when we meet up? music or images or whatever. for a larf and the propogation of ideas.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:29, Reply)

I'm afraid I'm not remotely up with the technology massive.
I can bring you a nice little stick off one of my shrubs if you'd like.

Is rated as utter shit, and I too am not at work!
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 20:59, Reply)

I can tell because my window panes aren't fitted properly and they buzz when it's really windy...
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:08, Reply)

I've got friends from there. Lucky for them they escaped to sunny Reading?
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:33, Reply)

Trashford is somewhere you go to go somewhere else, after all...
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:34, Reply)

I much prefer where I am. NOT!
So how is life treating you at the moment?
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:47, Reply)

Am not speaking so much French at work, other than today when I said the same thing five times in five hours... still planning to get to another bash one of these days and am trying and failing to learn to play the guitar.
Yourself?
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 22:04, Reply)

I'm spending most of my time looking for work. Yes you should come to an other bash at some time it would be good to get more people at them. I'm learning to play the guitar as well, and keeping up practicing my bass as well. there really isn't enough hours in the day to do everything that I have too.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 22:13, Reply)

I'd love to come to a bash but lately it seems work always gets in the way, and now I'm Trashford-based rather than London-based it makes life a bit trickier :( do not like.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 22:40, Reply)

UCL. Bunch of wankstains.
You should arrange a bash that you can come to, I'm sure everybody will come.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 22:45, Reply)

You are kind, good sir. I shall muse upon this and consider it for when I next have a few days off work, and have money to have the drinks requisite for such a bash.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 22:46, Reply)

Too wet for light clothes, too warm for waxed jacket.
But all the rain is going South which I regard as only right and proper.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:13, Reply)

Sending all of your rain down to us in the South!
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:15, Reply)

You don't have a garden.
A bit of precipitation upon my small quarter of domesticity has been quite welcome even though it buggered up my walking activities good and proper.
EDIT - It's still raining here. I know that because a soaking wet cat has just run in through the catflap, jumped on my knee and vigourously shaken herself. Thanks, soaking wet cat.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:20, Reply)

It's not big, and it's got a ginormous shed in it.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:34, Reply)

It might grow even bigger in the rain.
I spent twelve grim months living in Penge, so you can perhaps see where my deep rooted antipathy to all things Southern was formed.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:42, Reply)

I may just move into it.
I lived i Beckenham for 3 years, nad now I live in sunny Croydon.
( , Tue 6 Oct 2009, 21:55, Reply)

That you can take a boy out of the North, but you can't take the North out of a boy.
Doesn't always stand true - my brother has lived in South London (currently Clapham) since graduating and loves it - but the day we packed the van and headed back up the A1 is still one of the happiest of my life.
Anyway - bedtime for me.
