(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:33, Reply)
WTF
is "ragga-metal"? I am old.
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:36, Reply)
probably something they made up
from wiki: Skindred's musical style mixes heavy metal, punk rock and reggae. The group refers to this style as "Ragga metal"

That actually sounds like something I'd like to listen to.

(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:41, Reply)
they are very heavy
superb live, very high energy
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:43, Reply)
I was thinking that
anything like Bad Brains?
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:45, Reply)
not familiar with bad brains
but by the look of them and the description on wikipedia they are probably not that far off.
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:47, Reply)
They were INCREDIBLE live in their day
there's a DVD of them at CBGB's in the early 80s that is fucking brilliant. One of the most energetic bands ever....
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:48, Reply)
Certainly some similarities,
Yeah.
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:49, Reply)
ragga metal
does it consist of thrashy guitars with a pulsing sub-bassline?
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:41, Reply)
no, it's better than that

(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:43, Reply)
that
sounds like 'living colour' then! Mainly cos its the only metal band i could think off with the black fellas in, you know, they like reggae and that, good rhythm etc.
(, Tue 13 Oct 2009, 9:48, Reply)
It's a musical style
where the drummer grasps a sex toy between this thighs to play the drums as his penis is too small.
