There are a few micro breweries dotted around the countyBut not much else. High House Farm Brewery does some good ales, as do Mordue, Big Lamp, Northumberland and a few others. Bigger breweries like The Federation got taken over by S&N a while back. Vaux went tits up ages ago.

Oh, I didn't realise Mordue were from up that wayI quite like some of their stuff. At least, the rare times I see it down South. Unfortunately it most often crops up in Wetherspoons pubs where they don't know how to cellar it properly and so it tastes of egg.
