Tips...
Hello you lot.

I'm wondering if there are any foreign working B3tans here? The reason I ask is I've previously worked in Canada, US and India and I'm looking for jobs now in Asia. The problem is, the company I'm with have no remote opportunities so it's looking like I will have to do it without the help of a UK company.

Do any of you have any tips / ways to get companies interested and also do the relocation business?
I'm a Linux System Administrator (4.5 years) with indepth knowledge of Networks (CCNA, woot).

If you're not a geek, then tell me about your favourite places you've worked

Haha
Browsing on my phone, so your name wasn't visible, I read through and was gonna post 'Ask Axai'

I'm a latent geek but the best place I've ever worked was as a web tech in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. Fucking wonderful city.

hahaha!
That's brilliant. The reason I'm asking is I've always been sent to other companies by my employer at the time, now I've got to do it alone without company support which makes it a lot harder.

If you gaz me an email
I have a friend working in electronics on the Chinese/Hong Kong border who might feel like handing out terrible advice to strangers online.

Ahh
I read your chronicles regarding dubai, my condolences!

How are things going now? I've not seen much of an update.

I will stay away from Dubai, though. Thanks!

Pfft supersition
That is really good news though, good luck with that.
Cash is always a plus ;)

When i came back from Canada I had a red bank account balance but found a job quite quickly, it's such a relief... which I'm sure you'll feel soon ;)

Nice to see you're getting back on your feet

Sapporo, Japan
Nice place, great winter sports. Only drawback is there's very few jobs for foreigners in IT. If you don't mind summer heat, Tokyo or Osaka are good cities, but summers are really sweltering. Chart Cat is in Tokyo, he'll probably have better information.
