Not that I dislike fictional 'monsters', but I much prefer a horror with a sense of realism or a 'supernatural' plot (Ring, Shutter etc)

I prefer fictional monsters, but don't like the more psychological, supernatural stuff.

Hee Hee. In that case I'll recommend Wrong Turn 2 as its simple, gory fun, and Outpost for its Nazi-Zombie-Ghost goodness.

There is a nazi-zombie film out at the moment called ... something? snow.
It's Swedish I think, but meant to be very good.
