you are making the classic mistake of applying logic and common sense to an area distinctly lacking in both, from where I'm looking. It's fucking retarded to make assumptions of suitability based upon gender - not to mention probably illegal - but that's how it often works, eh?

While I've been wary of saying such things in the past
she's made such a fucking mess of the past two years and her relationship with her kids that I'd be utterly astonished if it went her way. I'm not getting my hopes up because I haven't even come to terms with starting the process yet, but I'm underlyingly confident.
