I think my brother can play it, but his taste in music's as bad as his criminal record

I think you'll find
may not be fucking hate that song
Hugely smug anecdote alert: I remember being at a party in my uni days. the cellar of this house had a full band setup in it, drums, bass, guitars etc.
some drunk idiots were trying to torture guitars with oasis songs and occasionally pleading for someone to take a guitar and play some oasis, but without giving up the guitars.
I eventually got hold of one, and they were all like "can you play some oasis?"
I busted out the turnaround in the middle of Calling Elvis by Dire Straits, and said "I can, but I'm not fucking going to"
a few of us then played a 15 minute AC/DC medley, not even stopping when someone knocked out the light bulb leaving us in pitch darkness for a few minutes.

I still consider myself a beginner, but I shit all over any sound Oasis have ever made

people who only play stuff like oasis belong in the same group of people who repeatedly play today by the smashing pumnpkins
and that group deserve to be dead.

Can you play that Semisonic song about a bar that shuts and everyone has to leave, I think it's called "Closing Time" ?
(, Thu 5 Nov 2009, 15:52, Reply)
not any more though. I could probably play it again if I heard it.

Can you play that Lisa Loeb song "stay (I missed you)" ?

I don't know it I'm afraid. I'm not sure I've ever heard her music.
I'm not "down" with popular music
(, Thu 5 Nov 2009, 15:59, Reply)
But her 'greatest hits' type album is quite good.

I may have heard the song
my repertoire tends to be along the blues/rock/metal/theme tunes lines

I love soft chick rock.
Can you play that Speedway song "Thinking about you lately" ?
(, Thu 5 Nov 2009, 16:04, Reply)
I've had this problem for some time. I don't know a lot of songs that people ask for, so they assume I'm shit.
Doesn't bother me so much anymore, but it used to

I know what I like, and I listen to that, and sometimes something new comes along, but I'm talking about in general.
I don't really listen to music radio so I'm not really up to date on things.
(, Thu 5 Nov 2009, 16:10, Reply)
if I listen to the radio then it's planet rock. otherwise I listen to all sorts of stuff
(, Thu 5 Nov 2009, 16:11, Reply)
I used to like them.
But not to like them enough to own any of their records, or to remember how they sounded.
