Oranges (satsumas, clementines and the like):
Capri Sun for people with too much fucking time on their hands.

Discuss

does this place always move so slowly?

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 16:55, Reply)
Pretty much

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 16:58, Reply)
not quite
today is a particularly slow day. It's never that fast, but you have to admit this is slower than usual.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:00, Reply)
I'm no expert
but isn't Capri Sun just squash with virtually no nutritional merit? In which case I'm gonna have to go with no.

However may I posit this apposite theorum?

Capri Sun: orange squash for people so obese or lazy they cannot even get it together to make some fucking squash.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 16:59, Reply)
I was disregarding nutritional value for a moment
and referring to the sweet juice contained inside.

I asked the original question because I'm eating a clementine, and as usual, while delicous it is taking me about half an hour to get it pith-free enough for me to be able to eat it without gagging.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:00, Reply)
OK how about this compromise?
Oranges, clementines etc: orange juice for people with too much time on their fucking hands.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:03, Reply)
ok, I'll give you that

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:04, Reply)
just buy some fucking tropicana or something
jesus
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:03, Reply)
woah
I'm sorry it has had such an effect on you. I think perhaps you have some issues that you need to deal with before you enter another fruit discussion.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:05, Reply)
i'm just telling it like it is

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:08, Reply)
I'm not convinced
I don't particularly mind it taking me ages to eat one. Passes the time at least.

I suppose the original post might have implied some kind of frustration...
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:09, Reply)
i wouldn't worry about it

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:13, Reply)
thanks
you've set my mind at ease.

How much do I owe you?
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:16, Reply)
never mind that
why doesn't this place have quick reply?
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:18, Reply)
cr3 tells us it's because it works on radically different code to the other boards
and so quick reply and the new and own post highlighting won't work

well, probably not radically different...
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:19, Reply)
well it's a pain, i have to keep the thread open in another tab so i can remember what i'm replying to

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:20, Reply)
Aw.

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:20, Reply)
i hope that's genuine sympathy

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:23, Reply)
It's genuine pity if it helps.

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:24, Reply)
it shows it under the reply box on the page it goes to

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:21, Reply)
just one post, not the whole subthread

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:21, Reply)
yeah, that's true
I have one of those fancy mice with buttons on the side so can flick back and forth if necessary. Or use mouse gestures to do the same. It's not ideal, but a small price to pay for not saying the whole of every thread on the main page.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:23, Reply)
i do like that the newest thread isn't automatically at the top
it encourages all sorts of rubbish on the other place
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:35, Reply)
I had some freshly squirted orange juice at the weekend,
along with my croissants, bloody lovely, felt smug as fuck for a good 3 hours after. After which I taunted a homeless insane with a bottle of Prosecco and a brand new sleeping bag.

Plain sailing after that.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:12, Reply)
Nice work
top smugness
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:16, Reply)
Stop being a dweeb
and eat the fucking pith!
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:13, Reply)
I can't, it makes me gag

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:15, Reply)
I'm eating a pear
The pear is now in my belly.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:19, Reply)
had they run out of apples?

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:20, Reply)
I have no apples
I've got a plum and a banana which I'm going to eat before I go home
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:21, Reply)
I have eaten the plum.
I'm going to save the banana for tomorrow morning.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:23, Reply)
top fruit reporting there
for future reference though: I hate bananas and don't want to hear about them
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:24, Reply)
Apologies for banana reference
If it helps, I've eaten it :0)

I'm now off home to eat a hot chicken baguette, annoy my son, snuggle the mrs and watch FlashForward.

I'll be stopping off to get some chocolate milk (yazoo!) and custard doughnuts.
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:30, Reply)
you're just making it worse for yourself
yazoo? frijj is the only acceptable milk based drink
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:32, Reply)
WRONG
I've recently discovered that Sainsburys* own brand chocolate milk is the best, even better than Frijj.

*ASDA and Morrisons also do very similar chocolate milk.

if it doesn't have the consistency of thick bleach i'm not interested

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:34, Reply)
it is pretty much

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 18:26, Reply)
i'll give it a try
and hold you responsible
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 18:31, Reply)
I hope you find it as excellent as I do

(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 18:49, Reply)
chicken baguettes
i made some last night, nicely done with soy sauce and some butter-sauteed potatoes.

Flashforward - Any good? It starts here soon (maybe next week) and the trailers seem intriguing at least.

Also, bananas = the devils filled condoms
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:38, Reply)
i agree
let's not have any more banana talk
(, Mon 9 Nov 2009, 17:30, Reply)
