And as I'm finding fun articles this morning...
JMG, this article is just for you. Please implement this policy in the UK- it would be most amusing.

Sweet zombie Jesus
Upper limit of 33.5" waist for men!? That can't be right. I'm nearly 6', pretty slim and quite athletic but I've a 32" waist. This can't be healthy.

Surely it should be related to height and build too?
I'm not heavily built, about 5'11" tall and have a 32" waist. But I have a friend who's a good 4 inches taller than me, and is built like a brick shithouse. He's not fat, but he must weigh about a third again as much as I do. And I'll bet his waist size is more than 33.5".

However, "against the law" is a bit misleading
If you exceed it, the company you work for is required to give you counselling, that's all. If after 3 years a given company's percentage of lolfattys is over a certain amount they pay more in healthcare contributions.

Nobody is getting clapped in irons for a 34" waist.

We'd all be buggered if that were the case.
Well, apart from AB who is so thin he lives in fear of cattle grids.
