Evening HDLI kind of like the idea of everything being hedgehog-like. Would not only allow the fluffy and spiky to co-exist, but you'd easily be able to find out howmany hedgehogs you can contain within a fixed area before they're no longer able to get around without colliding into eachother excessively.

StranglyHedgehogs can lay their spines flat so as not to stick them into each other. How else do you think the manage to have babies.
