Did that Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr come out yet?Its opening weekend gross might be instructive as to the potential for your project.
edit: also Pride and Prejudice and Zombies sold pretty well suggesting there's a market.

I've no ideabut I think my sub-conscious was inspired by it, seeing as that film is directed by Guy Ritchie, and my backward brain put Guy Pearce as the lead role of mine. I got the names muddled!
