I used to love chocolate cigarettes and cigars
but I don't think it is even possible to buy candy smokes in the US or at least in Vermont anymore as they "promote smoking" (which probably has some truth to it). I have never seen candy "tobacco" but don't think it would go over well here. They used to (and may still) sell bubble gum in pouches that looked like the pouches of chewing tobacco baseball players use. I remember this causing a major uproar.

My fav as a kid was basically anything with sugar in it.

I used to love it when my dad went to the states and brought me home sweets and special pogs.
That bubblegum in pouches that looks like candy-floss (cotton-candy) was great, along with all those amazing flavours of Life Savers.

you can still get the candy cigarettes here, I always loved the packages with an indian or a cowboy on the front

I must live in a much more socially advanced state
than you do. After all, we are the only state with a self avowed socialist as one of our elected US Senators.

I read that as "I am better than you, blahblahblah"
