Evenin'
I have 10 days' annual leave to take before the end of the year (do my parents know this? Do they fuck) so I foresee the day itself being spent with a lovely friend in Maidstone who has offered to cater for me, and perhaps a trip to see some school friends before New Year.

I refuse to go and see the parents, in part because my father hates me and in part because a) they use AOL and b) they have McAfee - it would be easier to torch the PC and give them the phone number for Dell's sales line.

Instead of torching the PC
it needs to be shot down by an orbiting satellite. My parents still use Windows 2000 so I might consider doing that myself.

BTW does this 10 days include the 2 week Xmas break?

^ ^ THIS!
And it will probably be up to poor old muggins to install Windows 7. Thankfully, their PC is only 4 years old.

It was certainly better than XP if you had an old-ish machine
But alas, to properly take advantage of multi-core machines, you need XP or above.

Not yet - I've only booked a week but could theoretically have three!

If only companies would let you have a winter hibernation period that lasted for the duration of your daily commute being in darkness, I'd get all the sleep I need.

This.
do you SAD?
(, Wed 25 Nov 2009, 21:22, Reply)
Sometimes, I suspect I get it.
But I've learned if I have a distraction going on (Eg. 1st year of Uni or starting a new job in October/November), I'm too distracted to notice.

But yeah, everything's better with daylight.

sunlight makes me happy,
the upside to SAD is that summer is like being continuously high
(, Wed 25 Nov 2009, 21:39, Reply)

And as this summer involved me going on a massive walking-spree, I suspect the comedown will be worse this year. Bugger!
