What a difference a haircut makes!
Yesterday, I had my long, flowing red locks chopped off and now have a very short, Rhianna style haircut.
It's prompted me to get my shit together, I spent all day cleaning my apartment, put makeup on and in general I feel way better about myself 'cos I've been getting "real life validation" about the haircut!

It's Thanksgiving tomorrow, which will be a fun day (Happy Thanksgiving to the American contingent!) and for the first time in quite a long time I'm Manning The Fuck Up and feel good about myself!

What's cheered you up lately?

I'm going to a thankgiving dinner meal tomorrow
My best mate's family is half American, and they always cook up a feast tomorrow. A whole roast turkey with all the trimmings. I will be spoilt. Good times. I might buy an expensive bottle of wine, since I've not had the good stuff for a while. Here's to America.

Cheered me up no end scoring a few grams of marijuana earlier after a half-assed attempt to give up that resulted in violent depression. That stuff really eases my mood swings..

I thought you were
trying to quit!

Enjoy tomorrow though! I do like Thanksgiving, it's always fun with friends and "family" and the turkey dinner is always kick ass! Still never got the taste for pumpkin pie, though! Bleurgh.

The
haircut sounds really good :) I'd love to have short hair, but my face is a bit too long I think

Whats with the name chage?
Hope you enjoy your turkey if that is waht you choose to eat on this strangest of holidays (based on cheating a bunch of cluless American Indians out of a whole continent).

Don't get me started on that one!
It's not that I disagree with Thanksgiving, but what was sacrificed by the natives that we can even celebrate this holiday pisses me off - I've had my fair share of arguments with people over here regarding the indigenous population.......

Still, I'll celebrate the holiday. Still don't get pumpkin pie though!

Pumkin pie with a slice of very
sharp VT Shelburne Farms 3 year old cheddar is the best part of the holiday. Turkey (if over cookd as most people do) isn't worth the time. Wild turkey however, recently shot, is one of the the foods of the gods.

The history of the holiday itself still sucks but it is good to at least try to be thankful for something.

You hunt?
My old boss used to hunt and I'd always get loads of venison from him!

Venison rules
the only experience I have of Wild Turkey comes in a bottle.

Love that stuff.
Sadly it gives you the bad bad bird flu the next day.

You go girl!
*ahem* sorry.

I was happy to discover yesterday that the event I am attending tonight not only has a free bar, but The Legend Peter Hook is doing a two and a half hour DJ set! Awesome sauce.

I will be sad if he doesn't. You may have ruined my evening.
