My current place has central heating
But I'm at the mercy of my landlady to decide when it should be turned on. So my flat alternates between freezing and boiling.

Is she a benevolent landlady,
or a dragon, like my concierge in Switzerland? You may end up doing the this is my island in de sun, oi oi dance from Muppet Christmas Carol if it's the latter.

She seems benevolent
as long as she doesn't turn up the volume of her kids too often (they live next door to me).
