Christmas Sales are normaly beter than New Year sales.
If you can afford it, go for it now, you'll get to watch all the good christmas telly when it comes out.

If you've not got any pre-pay telly, like Sky or Virgin, and don't intend on ever getting that, get a telly with FreeSat.

I got my telly from Richer Sounds, they're awesome.
And they sent me a tenner for pimping them on twitter.

I've got Freeview upstairs now
But I have to watch things in Welsh until we get a proper aerial point.
Or I could learn Welsh...

Oh man, I wish I could watch How I Meet Your Mother in welsh.

It would be too sexy
they'd have to put it on after the watershed

OHMYGOODNESS !
I just double checked to see if Falicia Day was Lilly, and it's someone else, it's Alyson Hannigan ! I've been stalking the wrong person.

Ooooo Alyson Hannigan, one day, my love, my sweet love, I'll find a girl just like you.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:07, Reply)
Ew I'm not loving Felicia Day!
Alyson Hannigan is where it's at.
So is Cobie Smulders.
So is Josh Radnor.

Felicia day is awesome,
especially in the guild and Dr Horrible.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:12, Reply)
I only had a quick look
But she scared me a bit.
Maybe I'll look again in a bit.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:15, Reply)
She's like a sexy librarian.

(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:23, Reply)
you talk sense
we've got virgin, and will have for some time, so that's not an issue
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 13:56, Reply)
Get a "1080p" one with at least 3 HDMI ports.
It's worth spending a bit more for that, as it futureproofs the whole thing for the next 10 years or soo.

The only reason for holding back these days is this '3D' thing they're bringing out next year, but the examples of it that I've seen are rubbish.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:03, Reply)
I think your wise advice has made my decision
just need to see if richer sounds have one in stock
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:06, Reply)
I have a mate
who worked until recently for Sky. They are OBSESSED with 3D TV but acknowledge that until the need for silly glasses is removed it will remain strictly a novelty.

Do you really want to watch EastEnders in 3D?

Or even at all?
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:13, Reply)
3D is only good for kids' film at the cinema.
That Channel4 3D was pony.
It hurt my eyes and looked like a collage.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:17, Reply)
couldn't agree more
why have you suddenly started using lots of rhyming slang?
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:19, Reply)
I always use rhyming slang
But I thought that ^ was the first instance today.
My dad taught me loads when I was a kid. My favourite is handing someone a drink and saying "Here, get that down your Gregory Peck."
That's my absolute favourite.
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:32, Reply)
you said "jar of glue" earlier
which I quite liked.

gregory peck is a good one :-)
(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:38, Reply)
Goodness, so I did!

(, Mon 30 Nov 2009, 14:40, Reply)
I've seen the tellys without glasses, they're really shit.
In a typical scene, it takes about a minuite to realise it's 3D, and by then it's changed.
