It's worth spending a bit more for that, as it futureproofs the whole thing for the next 10 years or soo.
The only reason for holding back these days is this '3D' thing they're bringing out next year, but the examples of it that I've seen are rubbish.

who worked until recently for Sky. They are OBSESSED with 3D TV but acknowledge that until the need for silly glasses is removed it will remain strictly a novelty.

In a typical scene, it takes about a minuite to realise it's 3D, and by then it's changed.
