Not so happy
I'm not very happy at my current work, so I've applied for several others.

In the last week I was called for a job interview for a position that I really liked.

Within 4 days I did the human resources interview and technical interview, both on the phone, and was told I had done very well and if I'd like to go to Reading for a face to face interview.

Tickets bought, hotel booked... I just got a call:

They've had re-organize the deparment and change the job specs and my profile is not good enough anymore.

:(

Of course they´re paying the money back. Still...

there there
your hot internet suitor is here for you. Surely you should be able to claim back your expenses at least? Be persistant, be polite, but don't let them get away with it.

Well
They´re paying the money back, but c´mon, they could have thought about what type of person they needed before posting the job and making 2 interviews.

I´ll be better tomorrow :I

The bastards.
You should be able to get reimbursment though. Ask them nicely. If they say no, get Monty to punch their faces. He likes that sort of thing.

Fuck sake
Fucking cunts. I've got a job interview over the phone coming up next week. What I'm enjoying about this is I'm not too fussed about leaving but would just LOVE to have the option.

That´s always good
I don´t think my current boss is planning to fire me, but I´d enjoy so much giving gim my resignation letter.

I've only ever had four phone interviews
My first was an unmitigated disaster but that was my own fault, I was trying to blag a position that I blatently didn't have the skills for and that became obvious very quickly.

Then after a couple of years gap I've had 3 in the last fortnight all with the same company and have loved them, instead of the usual tension that I get for any interviews I've been able to dress in comfortable clothes, have a smoke whenever I was stating to feel stressed and just generally be me as much as I could and let them either take me or leave me. I will eventually have to have a proper face to face interview with their one UK member of staff in the next week or so but having made it most of the way through the process I'm feeling much more confident about it than I would usually be about an interview.

The tl;dr version of that is to just chill for the phonecall and let them either want you or not.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear that
it sucks to get so close then miss out at the last minute, I've been there a few times myself recently.

Hopefully this is just a small bump on your road to a good job that you'll enjoy.
