It was pelting it down as I was crossing Waterloo Bridge. I was a silly Northern lass and forgot my umbrella, and decided not to wear boots and instead silly little shoes. I was cold and wet.
Is everyone else in the same boat as the water rises?
Alternatively, my boots-to-end-all-boots arrived today. They are fucking amazing. What else has made your day?

and gave me a £10 note because 'I sit in there every day and never get tips like the drivers do.' That was pretty damned sweet.
Also, I'm always prepared for whatever the weather throws at me. I'm slightly obsessive about it, truth be told.

for looking over some documents for a guy who broke his arm in France. Think I was right in reassuring them they wouldn't need to pay anything for the French healthcare. Anyway gonna phone their employer tomorrow (totally on the phone to Disneyland Paris tomorrow, oh man) and make sure everything's OK - one document seems to imply that nearly 2 grand is owed to the company for the healthcare. Not sure how it works exactly but I doubt anything is owed.
And got an invite to play rhythm guitar for this dude's band. They've got a barn and wont accept anyone with less than 100 Watts in their amp. So I've got until January to source a monster fuckoff amp.

unless it's a pub-night.
Also, thanks to the weather, a tree has blocked my usual path, and have been forced to take an alternate route to work rather than crawl under a fallen tree with my bike for the third day running.
