I now have a netbook with windows 7.This is a vast improvement on all my evening/weekend internetting previously being done on my mobile phone.
Woo. And yes, you can take them to bed but don't fall asleep and drop it.

This one's three years old nearly, it's 3 times the size of your average netbook.But it sits quite comfortably on your lap and does the job - it was my main computer for two years till it started to die. Clean install and it's all good - simples!

This one cost me about the same as my desktop did 3 years ago.I'd forgotten the keyboard is somewhat temperamental and Windows is bitching that my graphics card is out of date but it's still good enough just for internets.
