this is why I normally have a couple of crafty ones before drinking
doesn't help

I think the problem is that I'm quite a lightweight when it comes to booze these days. If I'm having a smoke afterwards then 3-4 pints is my absolute limit. well, it should be. It never happens and I'll have 8 pints and a few jagers, have a couple of j's then lie in bed spinning for an hour or so until it is safe to close my eyes.

God I HATE that
Far be it from me to proselytise, but cocaine removes any possibility of getting 'the whirlies'...
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:25, Reply)
I'll bear that in mind

what there is instead is potentially 'gipping'
when it starts to trickle down the back of your throat, it can make you feel a touch nauseated for a second. this can be aggravated by taking a massive toke at the wrong moment.

I have heard of this
and think I could cope
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:39, Reply)
it's a minor inconvenience at most

Or if you don't like charlie...
...an orange juice before bed stops whirlage.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:33, Reply)
seriously?
man, oranges have magic powers. they stop me getting twitchy if I have too much MSG as well
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:36, Reply)
Yes...
And you are right about the MSG. Always have some orange after Chinese food and you wont get the 4am jitters or the parched throat.

Trust me - I'm a doctor.

I am so trying the orange juice to stop the whirls thing
I'll need it on friday night as well.

awesome

orange juice is also reputed
to help with bad trips - personally I think it's likely to be merely a placebo. If you're panicking and believe orange juice will 'save' you, chances are it will.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:41, Reply)
I have heard that...
One other OJ truism is that it counteracts the effect of methamphetamine - so if you have some good whizz or some bad E do not drink a juice or you will waste your money.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 14:43, Reply)
nothing wrong with a placebo
if it works :-)

They are an under-rated band too.
