The evidence would not have been sufficient to convict her in a court in the UK and I'm astonished that she was convicted and jailed.
That having been said, whilst everyone's paying attention to the plight of Ms Knox, very little is being said of the fate of Meredith Kerchers family.

but people are routinely convicted on less evidence than Amanda Knox, with much more convicing witness statements.
There is nothing controversial about this case apart from the deviant sexual practices talked about by the prosecution.

I think the Italian system is a bit iffy though, six jurors and three judges have to decide together. Imagine trying to face a judge down in the jury room.
I think she is innocent.
