Amanda Knox: Did she do it?

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 15:53, 89 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
No
But she was just as culpable as the actual murderer. and I would fuck her senseless the dirty bitch.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 15:57, Reply)
What?
How can you have the culpability of a murderer without being a murderer?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:08, Reply)
A mix of time travel and amnesia?

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:13, Reply)
The requirements for murder
causing death
intention to cause death or gbh.

You are either culpable or you aren't.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:15, Reply)
Shut it law boy,
Are you coming to the Porterhouse thing next week?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:29, Reply)
Probably.
Still would though.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 15:57, Reply)
Dunno
but I'd do her!
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 15:58, Reply)
According to the courts, yes.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 15:59, Reply)
Bah, facts.
But would you?!
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:01, Reply)
Not any more,
from what I know, 1 in 3 people who have sex with her die and end up under a mattress.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:15, Reply)
haha

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:17, Reply)
Obviously yes
I mean just look at her. Filthy bitch!
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:01, Reply)
Okay, this I agree with, ignoring the filthy bitch part.
She doesn't look upset at all in anything I've seen of her.
It may be media portrayal but I doubt it.
If I were on trial for murder I'd be crying my fucking eyes out the whole time, scared shitless.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:05, Reply)
Would you be crying because of your guilt,
or because you were innocent?

What do you say to that Kristine Kringle?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:09, Reply)
Know what, I tried to suggest Kristine Kringle
and she was having none of it.
She should, shouldn't she?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:10, Reply)
Absolutley
We should address her as such until she cries to the mods.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:12, Reply)
Deal!

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:13, Reply)
well I'm not going to murder anyone
I just think she shows a distinct lack of emotion for someone proclaiming her innocence.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:12, Reply)
We only have your word for that
I suggest that there may be people you know, that you would murder, and jump up and down on their graves.

Eh, Ms Kringle?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:20, Reply)
No. In fact I don't want anyone to die, ever.
I just wish there were an island I could send people to when I cannot stand them any longer.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:23, Reply)
Do they get to take their gramophone records with them?
and one luxury?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:24, Reply)
There is.
But you need a visa now and they're really tough on immos.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:26, Reply)
can I nominate the Isle of Wight?

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:32, Reply)
Parkhust and Albany
The place is full of Crims already.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:37, Reply)
fucking big wall round the entire coastline
couple of machinegun towers in case anyone tries to escape: SORTED.

It'd be like the Isle of the Dead in Arthurian literature.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:45, Reply)
Come to the Isle of Wight
Twinned with Guantanemo bay.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:47, Reply)
Isn't the Isle of the dead supposed to be to be Purbeck?
Site of another prison.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:49, Reply)
is that so?
*takes notes*
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:54, Reply)
I'm sure it features in the Arthur series by Bernard Cornwell
Well worth a read.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:10, Reply)

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:03, Reply)
My guess is.....YES
the dirty bitch. Ohh yes I would though as long as she tried not to cut my throat...
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:04, Reply)
what was it one /boarder said
(of missus McCann)

"The more I think she did it, the more I would fuck her"
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:05, Reply)
Probably,
and I wouldn't do her. Unless her hands were bound and no sharp objects were within reach.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:05, Reply)
You like all your women that way
Your bird told me.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:14, Reply)
Better to be safe than sorry
That's my motto.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:22, Reply)
it's not like the courts just randomly pick people and accuse them of murder

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:06, Reply)
Not in this country at least.
No history of that have we. Nope. None.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:10, Reply)
Please give me an example in the modern age of the courts in England and Wales picking a murder suspect at random.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:12, Reply)
The great Murder Lottery of 2008?
Hosted by Dale Winton.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:14, Reply)
I can't find a report.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:16, Reply)
I was accused of murder
because I'm black
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:17, Reply)
To be fair, that isn't random

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:19, Reply)
Ok I was accused of murder
for no reason whatsoever
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:25, Reply)
No.
It WAS because you are black.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:43, Reply)
But
I'm not black.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:52, Reply)
YES YOU FUCKING ARE

Birmingham Six?

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:26, Reply)
From what I remember there was forensic evidence against them,
the evidence was shit but it was still there.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:27, Reply)
Aye but the source of TRUTH that is wikipedia tells me...
The Court of Appeal stated about the forensic evidence that: Dr. Skuse's conclusion was wrong, and demonstrably wrong, judged even by the state of forensic science in 1974
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:31, Reply)
Still they weren't picked at random,
this argument is stupid though, wormulus is right.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:37, Reply)
much as it pains me
I agree with you and wormulus
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:44, Reply)
That's not pain you feel,
it's the knowledge that you are correct. You're just not used to it.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:47, Reply)
the strange thing is, I am used to knowing I'm correct
I think it must be the feeling of agreeing with other people.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:50, Reply)
same *dammit!*
Even Colin Stagg & Barry Bulsara (one of my favourite nutters ever) could have done what they were accused of, they were fitted up by the fackin' rozzers, innit?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:47, Reply)
Didn't say he was wrong :P
Was playing a wee bit of Devil's Advocate.. I mean as far as his question goes of someone getting picked at random and accused then the Bormingham Six weren't far off save for a tenous IRA link..
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:12, Reply)
What is it with murderesses?
Pamela Smart.
Amanda Knox.
The 'Manson Girls'.

Would - would - would.

And in a certain light possibly Myra Hindley (The black and white 60s poster version.)

As a young pup I also used to get hot for those saucy Baader Meinhof girls. Beret's, machine guns - wooo!

Rose West is the obvious exception to the rule.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy
I love the internet!!
Because of this post I got to thinking (as I often do) about a series of pictures in one of the supplements about 10 years ago.
One photo was a of a young murderer in the 1930s.
I thought he was a bit gorgeous. I kept the pic. My ex threw it out.
I remembered his name and I Google it from time to time. Nothing ever comes up, but I knew eventually it would.
I googled just now and found the picture!!

Yes, I'm insane. Thank you B3ta.

Odd...
He looks like Stephen Morris out of New Order/Joy Division.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:02, Reply)
He looks handsome and vulnerable
And I think he might be underage so I'll shut up.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:04, Reply)
Erm...
...what is he doing in the picture?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:06, Reply)

"Layton Clark, released from Whittier in 1939, showing how he claimed he had to eat off the floor while other boys watched."

Phwooooar!!
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:10, Reply)
Madam...
...before I go will you be requiring the 'rabbit' tonight or is it a job for the 'jumbo black beauty'?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:16, Reply)
As I currently have cat flu
I might not manage a shuffle of any sort.
I may do some cross-stitch or flower-arranging instead.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:19, Reply)
I hope those are euphemisms for something really naughty...
...but fear the worst.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:33, Reply)
Nah
Really I'll be eating sweets and making snot
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:38, Reply)
On closer reading, the supplement may have got it wrong
Maybe he only scrumped apples or something.
He only went to borstal.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:03, Reply)
No.
The evidence would not have been sufficient to convict her in a court in the UK and I'm astonished that she was convicted and jailed.

That having been said, whilst everyone's paying attention to the plight of Ms Knox, very little is being said of the fate of Meredith Kerchers family.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:09, Reply)
they got 800k - 1mil each

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:12, Reply)
I hate to upset you
but people are routinely convicted on less evidence than Amanda Knox, with much more convicing witness statements.

There is nothing controversial about this case apart from the deviant sexual practices talked about by the prosecution.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:14, Reply)
I thought they did not focus on that enough.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:15, Reply)
I love you, Tuggers

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:24, Reply)
and the fact she's attractive enough to get the media in a frenzy.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:17, Reply)
We should respect other country's legal systems
Except the American and the Saudi Arabian ones of course.

I think the Italian system is a bit iffy though, six jurors and three judges have to decide together. Imagine trying to face a judge down in the jury room.

I think she is innocent.
Well I don't and I'm a fucking judge you pisspot.
Well argued your honour, I think I'll change my mind.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:17, Reply)
The Italian legal system is matched in crookedness
only by that of India.

And they both begin with the letter 'I' - coincidence...?

I think not...
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 16:26, Reply)
I hear Iceland is bad too.
And I don't fancy a trial in Israel either.

I think you have it sir.

And Ing-gur-land.

Not the large heron type bird, that would be pointless, except for midgets.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:58, Reply)
HANG THE MIDGETS!

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 17:53, Reply)
I think the fact she says she got a fair trial and seems content with the way it was conducted
is her way of saying "it's a fair cop", to be honest.
