We're not having a work Christmas do.
It was cancelled due to the current economic climate. We didn't have one last year either - it was cancelled due to swine flu.

You could just go out and get drunk in their honour instead, it will probably have the same result as an organised works do.

Then Uncancelled it but said we had to pay ourselves. Then when only a small handful of people said they would pay for it they said "Not many people are going so we will pay for them"
