I buzz my head every few weeks
and you'll be surprised how quickly it grows back. It's hard to notice when it's long.

It's still going to take a while to get back from 'buzzed' to shoulder length though.

And there's always that phase when it's too long to be short and too short to be long and it basically looks twunt-ish, which I'd rather avoid as well.
