Understand what you are saying but..The fact I've been blown-out in favour of them all doing the staying-at-home-with-the-bird option just brings home the fact that I'm very much on my own at the moment and that on the night of resolutions, hope and best-wishes, I'll be on my own.
My revised plan is to drink enough that I pass out at about half-ten and I'll see the New Year in fast asleep in a alcohol induced coma.
