As a matter of interest
What was the speed limit on the road, and how fast were you doing when caught? Also, what were the road conditions like? How busy was it? Etc etc.

Speeding in itself is not necessarily dangerous. So I'm going to decide for myself if you were justified in getting the ticket or not.

Which makes absolutely no difference to anything, of course. I'm just being a judgmental cunt. :-)

40 in a 30
rural edges of a town. no foot traffic. weather was unseasonably fine. dry and excellent visibility. light road traffic

Hmm, marginal.
I don't normally speed in 30mph zones, but in this case it's arguable that the limit might be set too low, and you're not really doing any harm.

The court of K2k6 hereby issues you with a kick up the arse and a warning not to do it again.

I think following this incident
I will be obeying the 30 limits more assiduously in future.

The really annoying thing about speeding tickets
is that although they only remain in effect on your licence for 3 years, insurance companies consider them for 5 years after the incident.

We should totally burn insurance companies down.
the fuckers.

You're lucky they only fined you
you deserve to by dragged through the streets by your beard and pelted with rotten croissants.
