It can be hit and miss.
I always get the annual for Christmas though.

I'm old, so I remember some of the earlier versions.
However, I've started reading them again recently and there are still some good bits.

My father introduced my brother and me to Viz
when it was still practically a student mag - he went to a dinner party hosted by a colleague whose previous job was at Newcastle University so we were in on the ground floor.
My father could not believe the likes of Buster Gonad et al and actually woke us from our beds in the middle of the night to show us, bless him.

Hit & Miss agreed
I really don't like the new* artist who does random about historical figures put in a modern context wanting to do something immature. There's still Modern Parents, Roger Mellie, Jack Black every now and then which makes it all worthwhile.
And the Drunken Bakers have me in tears.
*he's been there a few years now.

Jack Black is the bollocks.
The one where he stayed at Aunt Meg's brothel had me in bits.

His one about Alexander Graham Bell
wiping his nob on all the scientific equipment was quite funny, but you're right, they're unreliable.
However, I didn't see it myself, but was reliably informed that The Bottom Inspectors might be making a comeback...
