PINKWIND
'In June 1970 at the Bath Festival (although not actually playing inside the festival), Hawkwind bumped into The Pink Fairies, a similar minded group of people playing a not too dissimilar kind of music and who were also based around the Notting Hill area. It wasn't long before the two bands were playing regularly together and finishing a nights entertainment with an almighty jam on stage featuring both bands under the moniker of Pinkwind.'
