In Rome they call them 'suppli' I believeThey have a little ball of mozzarella in the middle and are classic street food, like those gorgeous deep fried courgette flowers.
I really, really want to go back to Rome this spring, to glug wine al fresco sat at the foot of a fountain in Trastevere.
*cries*
NB this time I do not wish to take so many drugs that I develop vertigo, for the first time, at the top of the dome of St Peter's, though. That was horrendous.
