I've just heard
that I've been turned down for a Big Work Thing for which I was in the running - it would have been extremely good for my CV, very high profile, blah, blah, blah. Strangely enough I'm relieved.

Last night I changed the station on my radio alarm for the first time in years. "Wake up to Wogan" was a gentle start to the morning, now we have some noisy streak of piss shouting into the microphone. Radio 4 it is then.
