near a wood
and a river, close to a town but far enough away to be a bumpkin, in a decent sized cottage with a thatched roof, massive old oak beams, open fires and a homely big kitchen, a small quiet room to convert into a library with a comfy reading chair, a small farm and plot of land for growing veg and plenty of space for a couple of cats to roam. (plus maybe a sprog or two, still undecided on that one)

not much to ask for I reckon.

I also have no idea where this little piece of Halfy idyllic life is, but if I ever find it i'd move heaven and hell to get it

That sounds
worryingly like my parents house. Except it's a small stream, not a river, and whilst it's surrounded by farms, it's not actually a farm itself. Every other detail (including the library) is there.
