Golly gosh!
I just got headhunted by a company in San Francisco! I love that city, and would quite happily move up there.

Where would you live, given the chance?

I'm going there on my honeymoon
what would you recommend I see, other than Alcatraz and the bridge.

Definitely do Fisherman's Wharf and eat at one of the awesome seafood restaurants.
Hit up Chinatown - it's well worth it. Also, take a trip over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, and if you're hiring a car go up to Napa and do some wine tasting.

If you get the chance
take a trip out to Yosemite National Park. It is, quite simply, stunning. Although it's a 12 hour round trip on train and bus, so a bit knackering. You may be able to book a lodge overnight though.

Alcatraz is interesting, as is the university museum (can't remember what it's called).

Alcatraz is fab.
I could spend hours on that rock and not get bored of the history.

You wanna be so fat, that you live everywhere?

on second thought I just want to live where I'm loved the most
at Al's mum's house

Same - everywhere!
The idea seems to be worryingly close to unachievable pipe dream than very likely pipe dream. What makes it worse is a lot of the guys I went to Uni with went on a bit of a world tour after Uni - Japan, New Zealand, Australia, USA... Damn them!

I wouldn't use that milk if I was you, it's been out of the fridge for an hour or two.

'Frisco is indeed an awesome city.
There aren't many cities that I think I could tolerate living in, but that is one of them.

I love the place!
Only ever went with mum until I went alone last year to scatter her ashes. That's one of the few places in the US I'd be willing to relocate to.

If I ever get to America again then San Fransisco is definitley one place I would go to.

Seattle
Gorgeous city, beautiful state.

near a wood
and a river, close to a town but far enough away to be a bumpkin, in a decent sized cottage with a thatched roof, massive old oak beams, open fires and a homely big kitchen, a small quiet room to convert into a library with a comfy reading chair, a small farm and plot of land for growing veg and plenty of space for a couple of cats to roam. (plus maybe a sprog or two, still undecided on that one)

not much to ask for I reckon.

I also have no idea where this little piece of Halfy idyllic life is, but if I ever find it i'd move heaven and hell to get it

That sounds
worryingly like my parents house. Except it's a small stream, not a river, and whilst it's surrounded by farms, it's not actually a farm itself. Every other detail (including the library) is there.

I want that house from Grand Designs.
The one the bloke built himself in the muddle of the woods.
The one made out of oak crook frames and hay bales and mud.
Remember?
