There's a site called 'abandonia,' or something like that which has loads of classics going for free. I managed to Civ I and II off there, along with a handful of others. Think I managed to get Jill of the Jungle and Jazz Jackrabbit off there as well...just google 'free dos games' and you might be pleasantly surprised.

if, like me, you remember the aforementioned Jill of the Jungle as a childhood favourite, you may want to search for the two sequals. They're a little harder to track down, but out there somewhere to download for free...my search, however, did lead me to the most wonderfully Aspergers-ridden page that some poor lonely fan has created, detailing all the different releases of these games and possibly revealing an unhealthy obsession with the main protagonist... (SFW, I seem to remember, but not something I want to search for on my work computer)

But it was bloody difficult...I'm sure I once got to the stage where you're supposed to mount an attack on the aliens' home planet but I couldn't work out how to get there.

I think I may have been even worse than you. It was a bit TOO difficult though in that your attacks in the action sequences were largely determined by chance, and how 1 hit from certain creatures could kill your star "players" that had taken hours to develop.
It was great naming your guys and building up the attributes though. Also there's nothing better than RPG-ing a house and blowing the entire front wall off.

Still, it's good to know that everyone else struggled with it as I did! I think even on 'easy' that one was too hard for its own good.
