Inara is a strange one....
I remember finding her realy fucking annoying first time round I watched it - like seriously annoying, since then, second or third time I've watched the series she's kinda grown on me. She's pretty funny at times, and she's certianly not an idiot - think she just has very different motivations from the others is all.

I'm not a huge Inara fan
but she could be quite funny on occasion.

Thing was she was always the outsider
She was legit, very rarely got involved in the crime thing. Mal and Zoe had the entire war buddy thing going on, the rest of the crew kinda bonded over the fact they where criminals and River and Simon had an obvious bond, she was the only one that didn't quite fit the picture.
