Ta kindly!
I've got a lot of computer simulations to run this afternoon, so this might be just the thing to watch while I'm waiting for the computer to churn the numbers...

What is a computer simulation?
Is that like on the Krypton Factor where you have to 'land' a 'plane'.

I only wish it were that much fun
My simulations involve calculating the transfer of heat through the atmosphere. As you can imagine, this makes me really exciting company.

Like if I had a cup of tea
You know whether it would make my living room warm or whether my living room would make the tea cold?
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 14:35, Reply)
I'd never thought to use it for that, actually.
Though my guess would be that, unless you're living room's really tiny, you'll notice the effect of the living room making the tea cold more than the tea warming the living room.

Cool!

Or perhaps tepid, depending on how warm your living room is at the moment...

My living room is very warm, but also gigantic.
It's about the size of a small pub.
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 15:43, Reply)
Hmmm....
Have you considered turning it into a small pub?
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 15:43, Reply)
No way.
I asked the ladlord if I could have the arches in the cellar for a miniature Cavern-type venue, But he was having none of it.
The entrance was going to be via the coal hole.

Fnar fnar
My housemate has been talking about buying a pub. Or possibly creating one. I think he's onto a good idea, but he needs to get hold of a property first...unless we could secretly take over your living room until such time as our brewery's established?
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 16:03, Reply)
No way.
I live on my own and have become an intolerant git.
I am very hospitable in short doses and with low numbers. More than three people in the house and I want to jump up and scream "GET THE FUCK OUT ME KEN!"
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 16:15, Reply)
You sound like me if I'd been born a girl
I'm fine with plenty of people in pubs, but I get dreafully awkward when my house starts filling up with them. Trouble is I go the opposite way and feel the need to start playing the 'Good Host,' even though I'm sure it would be easier to chase them out with a spade...
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 16:39, Reply)
I do start playing the good hostess
But I have Inhospitable Tourette's brewing inside.
