I mentioned Adam Curtis' documentary The Power of Nightmares in a thread a couple of days ago, and you both expressed an interest. Well, I've found an online version here.
Not sure if it's the full three hours - I've not had a chance to check - but I think it probably is. And it appears to be legit, as well (inasmuch as there's a lecturer here who shows it to his students, and since we're a law school...)

I've got a lot of computer simulations to run this afternoon, so this might be just the thing to watch while I'm waiting for the computer to churn the numbers...

Is that like on the Krypton Factor where you have to 'land' a 'plane'.

My simulations involve calculating the transfer of heat through the atmosphere. As you can imagine, this makes me really exciting company.

You know whether it would make my living room warm or whether my living room would make the tea cold?

Though my guess would be that, unless you're living room's really tiny, you'll notice the effect of the living room making the tea cold more than the tea warming the living room.

It's about the size of a small pub.

I asked the ladlord if I could have the arches in the cellar for a miniature Cavern-type venue, But he was having none of it.
The entrance was going to be via the coal hole.

My housemate has been talking about buying a pub. Or possibly creating one. I think he's onto a good idea, but he needs to get hold of a property first...unless we could secretly take over your living room until such time as our brewery's established?

I live on my own and have become an intolerant git.
I am very hospitable in short doses and with low numbers. More than three people in the house and I want to jump up and scream "GET THE FUCK OUT ME KEN!"

I'm fine with plenty of people in pubs, but I get dreafully awkward when my house starts filling up with them. Trouble is I go the opposite way and feel the need to start playing the 'Good Host,' even though I'm sure it would be easier to chase them out with a spade...

But I have Inhospitable Tourette's brewing inside.

And am disturbed by just how much Donald Rumsfeld's sinister tendrils have pervaded American history and policy.
Also I suspect Michael Leden may be The Goat.
