And were quite capable of making over £15,000 a year each.
(this is worked out on the stuff they wouldn't be entitled to if they worked, they'd still get child benefit, carers allowance and disability benefit)

fair play to him though, his job was stressful as fuck. He left criminal defence and we moved to devon 20 odd years ago. He probably would've died from stress if we hadn't.
Still the paycut from private firm criminal solicitor in Uxbridge to CPS in Devon must have been a hell of a shock.
