it's already ruined by U2
there are more bands that I'd like to see there than I expected. mostly none of the big acts though.
Highlights would be Seth Lakeman, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Coheed and Cambria probably (the latter because when I saw them before one guy had the biggest hair I've ever seen, and they did an awesome cover of Iron Maiden's The Trooper)

everyone seems to be loving Seasick Steve at the moment
but I've never actually heard his music so I have no idea what his genre is. I know I could Youtube it, but I'm trying to keep the mystery

He puts on an excellent show.
He's definatly worth seeing live if you get the chance.

I'm quite pleased that you didn't spoil it
by telling me what kind of music he plays

I'm all heart.

Rodrigo y Gabriela are playing at the same time as:
Stevie Wonder, Ash, Gomez and Orbital.
I have no idea which one to see.

Ash played Leeds a couple of years ago and they only played stuff from their new album
which sucked. They did play Girl from Mars after a bit, but then went back to crap.

I've never heard of Gomez and Orbital, or Rodrigo y Gabriela. Plus, it's STEVIE FUCKING WONDER!

Gomez did "whippin piccadilly"
and were one of the bands I loved at school.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:26, Reply)
I'm none the wiser

Cracking tune!

Ash are shit
Gomez are ok, not bad live, but it'd have to be Stevie Wonder or Rodrigo y Gabriela for me.

and Rodrigo y Gabriela would win I suspect. They really are fucking awesome.

I think it'll probably be Stevie Wonder
and hope I see the others doing an unannonced gig somewhere else.
The biggest clash of the weekend is N-Dubz and Muse.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:32, Reply)
Stevie Wonder will be awesome
there is no doubt about that

I'd go for Muse, even though all of the songs on their last 2 or 3 albums have been the same.

they do put on a really good headlining show though
especially if you have a thing for Matt Bellamy and his guitar with the theremin board thingy attached.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:37, Reply)
they do put on a good show
saw them at the eden project just before or just after blackholes and revelations came out. was a good gig, because they played a load of the old, better stuff.

now they are just wanky. also they come across as complete tossers. and they come from a shit place.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:39, Reply)
Do they come from Devon?
Apparently Matt Bellamy, when not on tour, hides at home with his stacks and stacks of apocalypse food, waiting for the aliens to take over.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:40, Reply)
yeah, Teignmouth
which is a fucking scummy shithole.

there was a documentary about them when they did the gig there last year. so pretentious it's unbelievable.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:44, Reply)
I prefer N Dubz

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:34, Reply)
I don't think I've heard any of their music

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:35, Reply)
Naaaa Na Naaaaaar

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:38, Reply)
Vindaloo?

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:39, Reply)
ha!

(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:40, Reply)
I saw Dappy on NMTB
he was a bit of a pleb but he was funny. Obviously that has no bearing on his music whatsoever.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:39, Reply)
They are utterly, utterly shit.
It was a dig at Muse who I've no time for.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:51, Reply)
I had a sneaking suspicion that that might be the case
