there are more bands that I'd like to see there than I expected. mostly none of the big acts though.
Highlights would be Seth Lakeman, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Coheed and Cambria probably (the latter because when I saw them before one guy had the biggest hair I've ever seen, and they did an awesome cover of Iron Maiden's The Trooper)

but I've never actually heard his music so I have no idea what his genre is. I know I could Youtube it, but I'm trying to keep the mystery

He's definatly worth seeing live if you get the chance.

by telling me what kind of music he plays

Stevie Wonder, Ash, Gomez and Orbital.
I have no idea which one to see.

which sucked. They did play Girl from Mars after a bit, but then went back to crap.
I've never heard of Gomez and Orbital, or Rodrigo y Gabriela. Plus, it's STEVIE FUCKING WONDER!

and were one of the bands I loved at school.

Gomez are ok, not bad live, but it'd have to be Stevie Wonder or Rodrigo y Gabriela for me.
and Rodrigo y Gabriela would win I suspect. They really are fucking awesome.

and hope I see the others doing an unannonced gig somewhere else.
The biggest clash of the weekend is N-Dubz and Muse.

there is no doubt about that
I'd go for Muse, even though all of the songs on their last 2 or 3 albums have been the same.

especially if you have a thing for Matt Bellamy and his guitar with the theremin board thingy attached.

saw them at the eden project just before or just after blackholes and revelations came out. was a good gig, because they played a load of the old, better stuff.
now they are just wanky. also they come across as complete tossers. and they come from a shit place.

Apparently Matt Bellamy, when not on tour, hides at home with his stacks and stacks of apocalypse food, waiting for the aliens to take over.

which is a fucking scummy shithole.
there was a documentary about them when they did the gig there last year. so pretentious it's unbelievable.

he was a bit of a pleb but he was funny. Obviously that has no bearing on his music whatsoever.
(, Thu 15 Apr 2010, 9:39, Reply)
It was a dig at Muse who I've no time for.
