My father lives in the US. Sorry.
Normally I have the most Luddite medieval views on stuff, but in this instance if it took a 2-week boat trip (or whatever it is) to get out to see my old boy, it would mean I never saw him again, probably.

I only get 20 days' holiday a year - if it took 14 days to get there and 14 to get back I'd have to meet him for a swift pint at the port and then immediately return home.
I wonder what Nick Clegg's policy is on this? Something both radical, traditional and sensible ALL AT THE SAME TIME, I'll be bound.

That's the kind of thing that 'Ultimate Wizard' Cleggsy would propose. He's so cool - nothing like a bland regional sales manager delivering an arse-achingly dull speech in the hospitality suite of a Bracknell travel tavern. Nothing like that AT ALL.

We all have to deal with the billions of tons of carbon immisions that aircraft brings into the atmosphere each and every second, just because you can't take a month or two off work and go see your old man for one last time.
