Its definitely the computer,
Apparently it's been going for a while, every so often it'll make a funny noise then turn itself off. Today, it made the noise while it was booting up.

If she's got another computer nearby she can put the hard drive in that as a secondary drive
and get the information off it that way. There's plenty of time for her to do that before 4.
